P0741 Volkswagen -

Question

My engine light was on and I check it and got the code of PO741, in my 2002 VW Passat 2.8 L. Can you give me some info on this if I would need a new Convertor and or Selenoid?

Hi there

The first thing to do in this situation is check the transmission fluid. Low or dirty fluid can cause this code to come up. That being said it's possible there is an issue with the solenoid or the torque converter. This has to be inspected to locate the cause of the code.
