2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo with engine code P0455, how can I fix it? Won't idle cuts off

This code is for a gross EVAP leak. This is caused by a bad gas cap or sometimes the vent control valve not closing. This will not cause the car to shut down. Here is some more info on the code.
