Chrysler lhs 2001 obd2 code p0340 what are possible problem's?

My 2001 Chrysler lhs was hooked up to a obdII code reader and it came back p0340 what are some possible problems

Hi there,

Typically since the code is for the cam position sensor, it indicates a possible issue with the sensor itself, the timing belt or possibly the wiring to the cam sensor. Typically though the cam sensor is the failed part.
