P1349 TOYOTA -

i have a toyota rav4 2002 the engine light code is p1349 come up but it has no information or definition so i do not know what is happening to my car. what should i do?

Hi there!

Start by checking the engine oil level.

This code is for the variable valve timing control. This is driven by oil pressure. IF the oil level is low it can set this code. If the oil level is fine, then the timing should be checked to make sure it is still where it should be and the timing chain hasn't jumped. This can also be a part failure with the solenoid itself.
