My Subaru wont start even though if i give it some gas.
And the obd scanner says it is the idle air control valve.
May this be the cause of it not starting?

Hi there,

The only way this would prevent starting is if the engine is flooded. I would start with some basic testing, check for spark and fuel. Because it won't fire even when you spray some gas into it, you are lacking spark. This can be cased by something as simple as worn out spark plugs, a bad ignition coil or even a jumped timing belt.
