It has a distributor, no coil visible.  wires and plugs just replaced

Hi there,

The coil is part of the distributor on this engine. Look for possible intake manifold gasket leaks around cylinder #5 and also do a compression test. I have seen both internal issues cause the misfire as well as intake gasket leaks.
