Nissan 200SX 1998

Question

1998 Nissan 200sx with a code reading of P0440. because  of "service engine soon" light coming on. What does this mean and how is it repaired/fixed ?

This code means there is a small leak detected in the evap emissions system. This could be simply a loose gas cap. If not, then a smoke test is usually needed to locate the leak. Once the leak is located, you can then do the repair.
