The feul pump went out about 2 or 3 months ago and had replaced. Withing the last month the "service engine" light came on for a few days and went off for a couple of weeks. then came on again 3 days before I needed to get the emissions for a new tag. this time wont go off and got these codes p0440 and p0452 from advance auto parts tester.

The 2 codes are related. The 440 is a code for a large evap leak. The 452 is a code for the fuel tank pressure sensor. Basically if it doesn't see the correct pressure it sets the code. It isn't seeing the correct pressure because of the large evap leak. Usually to find the leak you need to have a smoke test done on the evap system, however since the pump was just installed, the leak may be related ti the seal for the pump to tank.
