2004 Ford F150 Lariat 5.4L with engine code P1000

Question

I was told to drive the truck for 10 min. I drove it for 2 hrs. Still has the P1000 code. I even disconnected the battery for 15 min to try a reset. No good

P1000 Monitor readiness not set

Disconnecting the battery will surely reset the monitor and set a P1000, and you would have to start all over again.
