2006 f150 fx4 with 292k miles: Driving on the highway, a chime sounded and "check gauges" appeared on the screen.
Temp gauge all the way to hot. Turned engine off, checked coolant level - normal, waited couple of minutes then back on and temp gauge back to normal, engine light on. I checked codes and I've got:
P 0430
P1000
P1285

The truck did not loose any power and after that I hooked up an obd scanner and checked temperature which is between 192 and 208 while driving. I'm in Florida and it is about 94 out there.
After this incident I drove my truck home and didn't happen again but the engine light stayed ON.
Any good advice-cause-solution???

P1285 is one to be worried about, if there are not coolant leaks,  I would start by replacing the thermostat

if the problem is still there and the cooling fans are coming on, I would replace the CHT sensor, which is under the intake manifold

p0430 and P1000 are related (most likely the catalytic converter with that many miles)
