Engine light

I have a 2005 dodge neon I was told it needed wires and plugs and a temperature sensor would that make the engine light go off of I fixed it I can't pass a smog and already paid for tags but can't get them without smog certificate

Whenever the CK ENG LT comes on the vehicle is in a emission violation. Depending on what the code is, in order to correct why the CK ENG LT is on you may just have to do what it takes for the vehicle to pass its emission test.
