Went to AutoZone and was told my code indicated that my temperature sensor and thermostat were bad. Rather than test them I went ahead and replaced, cheap and simple enough. Which gave me the opportunity to replace the coolant too. Removing the neutral from the battery did not clear the problem so I used a friend's device to clear the code. It took about 2 weeks for it to come back, same code. I don't have any leaks, the sensor harness looks in good condition, and there is no indication of a problem.
The weird thing is it came on the same place it did the first time. I got on the highway a mile from where I start the car, go 4 miles to a light on my exit, and as soon as I turn onto the street the light comes on. I have heat from my heater and the temperature gauge indicates 4 bars, standard operating temperature of the car all the time.
