Codes I pulled was p1381 and p0401.

Question

Have a 1996 honda accord ex, cranks but wont start. Codes I pulled was p1381 and p0401. I cleaned the egr and changed the valve and put in a new distributor. No codes but it won't start. Just i/m monitor status.

P1381 CYP sensor circuit intermittent

Check the condition of the timing belt. The CKP /TDC is located at the front behind the harmonic balancer, P1381 even if this code is set the engine would still start, The best way to diagnosis this is to check for injector pulse and igntion pulse if either is missing you would need a ECM just for the no start condition.
