I went to get my 1996 Dodge Intrepid inspected and the codes P0120 and P0600 came up on the scanner. I understand that the P0120 is throttle, but I don't understand what work might need to be done for the P0600 code. The check engine light was on as well. The mechanic said it might be a computer problem, but he didn't know. Would you be able to tell me what the code means and what needs to be done to pass inspection?

P0120 Throttle position sensor / switch "A" circuit malfunction

P0600 is for the ECM communication. treat P0600 as a intermittent conditon, for the PCM this code is seen alot on the Intrepid but does not pose a drvabilty problem . resolve the TPS code, clear the code and retest and set the monitors. If the CK ENG LT comes back on with a P0600 the only fix is replace the PCM.
