P0700 Dodge -

Question

I have a 2003 ram 1500 with the 45rfe truck has been driving good and today it has been raining all day and I went riding around and hit some puddles now transmission isn't shifting correctly and im getting a p0700 code any ideas is the rain a coincidence or could the plug on transmission have gotten wet

P0700 Transmission fault detected MIL light requested

Usuall when P0700 is set there should be another code set with this P0700 Is just informational, Depending on the scan tool you use, the ECM and the TCM may have different menu to access the code. The rain may have affected a sensor from perfroming correctly

 Some scan tool will display the transmission code and engine code on a seperate menu such as this scan tool which is displaying the control module menu
