Hi there,

The speed signal is generated by the wheel speed sensors for the abs, then it is sent to the pcm to give you the speed. The abs module has to be checked for codes and those repaired. If the problem still exists, or if there aren't any codes stored in the abs module, a scan tool is used to determine if the abs module is sending the signal. If it is, then the wiring needs to be checked between the abs module and the pcm.
