I have a 2006 Mercedes Benz C230; l am getting code P2006 I do not know what to do to fix the problem. What does bank 1a mean?

P2006 You have 2 different code description for this that your MBZ uses, one is for the transmission mode selector switch, the other code definition for your MBZ is tumble flap shafts sticks in a non acuated position.  The code that you have for your vehicle is the tumble flap shaft stci in a non actuated position

P2006 when this code occurs on a MBZ the linkage for the intake flaps are usually stuck due to internal flap problem

These problems are caused by the internals of your air intake manifold building up with soot from a bad pcv valve.  What happens next is the Flaps get gummed up and the weakest parts break (usually the external plastics)
