P2138 Acura

Question

car wouldn't respond to pressing the gas so i came home and checked the code gave me p2138 so i turned the car off then back on and test drove again and it responded normally to acceleration

Hi there

This code is for the Accellerator pedal position sensor. Check down by the gas pedal and make sure the connection on the sensor is tight. When this sensor fails, it causes the throttle to go into default mode so you can't accellerate. This is a safety feature of the electronic throttle body. Once you reset it by turning it off and back on the system returned to normal. This indicates a possible bad connection.
