How to fix p0174 on a 1997 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer

My truck is showing these codes and I want to know how to fix

Hi there,

The first code, P0174 is a lean fuel mixture code on bank 2. Since its only ocurring on one bank usually it can be repaired by replacing the bank 2 front O2 sensor.

The second code, P1405 is related to the egr valve and system. In most cases you will find the issue to be the DPFE sensor. This sensor over time usually fills up with water and can't work properly. Remove the sensor and tap it into your hand. If you get water out of it, replace it and clear the codes.
