Mazda 6 i4- P0340 with CEL on.

Question

Camshaft position sensor (P0340) is the only code being thrown. Replaced the sensor, but then car wouldn't start. Put old sensor back in and car started right up. Tried 2 new sensors with same result. Anybody seen this before or know what's happening?

Hows the connection nothing out of the ordianry that can cause this , if the engine start with the old sensor , wiggle the wire (gently) clear the code and retest
