u1000 code on nissan frontier 05

Question

Nissan frontier won't start. Has full battery power for lights and windows and stereo. Won't even try to start though. Checked fuses I can find and they all good. Also doesn't display gear on dash like park or drive. Help!

Hi there,

With this code and the fact that the truck won't start, it sounds like the transmission control module has stopped communicating with the ECM. If this is the case and all the fuses are good, the truck doesn't know it's in park so it will not allow the engine to crank. If all the fuses are good, then you likely need a new TCM.
