P0014 Saturn Aura

Question

My 6cyl 07 Aura is throwing an intermittent P0014 code with absolutely no symptoms. I wouldn't know anything was wrong if it weren't for the check engine light.

The oil was a little low when the check engine light first came on with this code so the first thing I did was change the oil. The check engine light would still throw a P0014 intermittently. The next thing I tried was replacing the cam positioning sensor, same thing. Light came back on after about a day. My mechanic suggested running some seafoam in the oil to see if something may be clogged. I ran with it in the engine for about 2 weeks, changed the oil, same results. After doing more research, I decided to replace the intake and exhaust solenoids with another oil change right after. The light came back on about a day later and this is currently where I stand.

If another wrinkle was needed, the check engine light goes on and off at almost the exact same times every day. The light is off when driving to work in the morning, comes back on around 2nd or 3rd start of the morning. On when going to lunch/coming back from lunch and on when leaving work. If I make a stop on the way home, the light is off when starting the car to leave that stop. Still off the next morning until 2nd or 3rd start of the day. Every day.

Again, all of this is happening with none of the typical symptoms. Starts fine, idles fine, accelerates fine, gas mileage does not appear to take a hit.

I trust my mechanic, but he suggests having the engine pulled for further investigation. Since it is not showing any symptoms, I am very hesitant to do so especially since I have already spent a good amount on what has been done with no results.

Any help would be welcomed at this point.

P0014 Exhaust camshaft position (CMP) system perfromance Bank 1

This code is mostly set when the camshaft actuator solenoid is faulty electricaly.if the engine has no drivabilty problem check the terminal connection going into the exhaust camshaft solenoid, this would set due to a faulty mating connection.
