I have a 1998 GMC 4x4. Was driving it popped and then reved high. Now it goes into drive but not reverse.

P1870 Transmission component slipping

Internal mechanical condition has occured, The only fix for a transmission that has foward and no reverse especially when a popping noise occured, is a rebuild transmission or a replacement transmission
