P1259 Honda -

Question

My check engine light came on lasted maybe 13 hours and I suppose from running around turning car on and off it reset and went off but they could still pull the codes also p0325 which was a knock sense , now the CEL came on before about 7-8 months ago with the vtec sensor (p1259) but went back off obviously , so question is , is there really a problem or not since it went back off ? I can't afford to spend unnecessary money ?? Any help would be great !!!

Since the light is coming on and the issue is with the Vtec the first thing to do is check the engine oil. Dirty or low oil can cause the light to come on. Since it's not consistent, it's ok to wait until it is to do proper testing on the part.

If the knock sensor code is going off on its own then I would not replace it at this time.
