P0510 Mitsubishi - 1997 Galant

Question

I took my car to auto zone because the check engine light came on and this is the code they gave me. I need to know how to fix or replace. It says it could be Open or short circuit condition or Poor electrical connection or Faulty APP switch. How do I know witch one it is? And could I fix it my self?

This code is actually for the closed throttle position switch. This is mounted to the throttle body and is part of the throttle position sensor.
