U1000 NISSAN - will it shut the engine down

I need to know if U1000 can code or P1212 TCS communication line is of great importance to repair if so what will these codes do to harm the truck or should I ask will the truck still run?

Generally a can code will prevent it from running. The U1000 means all the computers aren't communicating with each other. This will typically shut the vehicle down, especially if the ecm is the one not communicating.
