06 Malibu maxx. P0449. I replaced purge. Bent valve canister and fuel cap. Light still on. Help.

Engine code P0449. I replaced the eve that canister purge and gas Still the light is on please help

P0449 Evaporative emission (EVAP) vent solenoid control circuit

This code condition is for the evap Vent valve. which is near the fuel tank.

 Check the fuse for the Evap Vent valve which is located in the engine fuse /relay box listed as Emission 2.

 On the vent valve Key on Engine off, one side of the circuit you should measure battery voltage, When the ECM commands the vent valve on the evap canister vent control circuit should measure ground. If it does not you need a ECM.
