P1166 A/F sesnor 1 heater circuit failure

The A/F is commonly reffered to as a 02 sensor. In order for a 02 sensor to stay in closed loop (closed loop is where the ECM uses the 02 sensor for feedback for fuel control) a heater is used to help the 02 sensor stay at operating temperature.P1166 and P1167 Theses code are 02 sensor codes where the 02 sensor is the wrong application for the vehicle.

 Here is a 02 sensor for a Honda Accord, what happen here is P1167 was set right after the owner replaced the 02 sensor, Still brand new , using the part number there where 2 different applications for the vehicle, you can see where the harness was stretch to make a connection, this was obvious the wrong application 02 sensor. The one that was recommended was the pricey one.and a correct harness length.
