I checked for the code p0300 and it gave me many possible causes and one of them is a intake air leak.

Hi there,

The fastest method for checking intake air leaks is to spray carb cleaner around the intake with the engine running. If the idle speed increase or if it smooths out then you know you have an intake air leak.

Do I have to spray the carb cleaner first in order for the idle speed to increase and then go back to regular idle speed. Or, without spraying the carb cleaner the idle speed should increase and that will tell you that there's an intake air leak?

P0300 Random misfire

Intake air leak , this is where you would check the air duct tube for any open or cracks that would cause a drivabilty problem

The air duct is from the MAF housed at the airfilter housing and the throttle body, you would look for any cracks or open
