2001 Nissan Maxima 3.5L with engine code P1130

Question

Why is my car revving up and down by itself when I push the clutch in an in neutral, I have replaced the mass air flow an nothing happened going to replace idle air control in a few days but i feel it's not going to work either its putting out code P1130 for a swirl control solenoid valve plz help first car an am beginning to feel like I was ripped off

Hi there,

I would check for an intake air leak. Usually when the car is searching for idle it's an issue with a leak. The swirl valve should not cause this type of issue. With the engine running at idle, spray some carb cleaner along the intake manifold and any vacuum  lines you can see. If the engine speed increases or smooths out, you have a leak.
