SES code P0464 for 2001 Nissan Sentra

Question

I was told my Nissan parts that for my 2001 sentra sensor is just a relay, which conflict the info listed here in Engine codes.com for P0464 which says the sensor is a variable resistor. Which is correct?

It doesn't make sense, how can a relay be a sensor? Either a component is a relay or a sensor, but it can't be both at the same time. Attached is an image of the sensor from the service manual. The fuel pump/sensor level unit is inside the fuel tank.
