2001 ford e150 engine code reads p0305 but the truck runs fine until you step on gas it starts missing under a load

Hi Tom,

Normally this is a faulty ignition coil. When conditions are met the coil is probably not sending spark to the plug. A simple test is to swap the #5 coil with the one next to it and see if the misfire then goes wth that coil. Since ford uses the coil over plug on this engine and not a distributor with wires this is a simple test that can prove the coil is the problem or not.
