1999 Dodge Durango, threw OBD code PO340 cam position sensor malfunction

Question

Threw PO340 code. Would turn over , but not start. Now starter will not even turn over. Battery is over 12 volts

HI Bill,

It's possible the starter was burned out by cranking the engine to much. If you hear a single click type noise when you try to start the truck, then this is the most likely case. Since the code is for the cam sensor it's also possible there is something going on with the timing chain and that could cause the no crank condition.
