after dissconecting the battery . how do i reset the computer in my 1998 ford f-150 ?

a cable broke off my starter, turned out it was the postive cable. i replaced the ends and rehooked up the battery. since then my truck is running poorley. bogging down and loss of power .

Reset the computer it does this the moment the engine is running, , check the fuse area for any open fuse that may have occured, and the charging condition.
