I ask a question sometime ago about my jeep cherokee that had a noise from the rear and a rough idle, your site said it was the flywheel and that was correct the flywheel was replaced and the problem is fixed, but now the transmission make a horrible grinding noise when i move it in gear from park to reverse, sometimes i have to turn it off to move it in gear from drive to park, now when i turn the jeep on and put it in drive it grinds just putting it in gear. is this something you can help me with this and answer soon as possible
Check the transfer case gear selector lever, if it moves freely then it would of moved out of its socket, When it grinds just o go from Park to Drive the transfer case gear selector is not properly in place. Here the 2WD - 4WD selector ,
From underneath the vehicle if it poped out of place and looks like this it would cause the transmission to grind going form Park to Drive, or just when selecting any gear
