Jeep will not come out of second gear

Question

Driving the jeep goes from 1st to 2nd OK 2nd to 3rd it will not come out the second you're slipping second and third period. A driving the jeep goes from 1st to 2nd OK 2nd to 3rd it slips

This could be an issue with the shift solenoids, but I would start by checking the transmission fluid. If it's low or dirty it could cause the problem. Otherwise I would have the TCM scanned for codes.
