What does Toyota code P1229 mean on a 2005 Yaris 4d4?

Engine dies/cuts out, engine management light comes on. After about two minutes, engine will re-start but management light still on. Then light goes out after maybe an hour.

One possibility is it be a blocked fuel system, change the filter, if it fixes it then good, if it fixes it then fails again after a few hundred miles maybe clean out the fuel tank & change the filter again. there are other things it could be, but try this first? Good luck.
