Mechanic replaced original engine with another one with 76,000 miles last week. Ran OK for about 10 miles then check engine, TRAC, and BSC lights came on. Mechanic asked me to go to auto zone and get codes pulled. Came back with code p2238. They also said there was a "C" code they could not pull. What does this mean?

P2238 Oxygen sensor pumping current circuit low

Even though the code definition says 02 sensor what you have equipt is a A / F (airflow sensor) . What ever the CK ENG LT comes on ABS and TRAC and BSC comes on , this is done for safety reason. The "C" code is more than likely do to the disabling of the ABS , TRAC, BSC. .P2238 is for Bank 1 Sensor 1 this is a engine management sensor, which is before the catalytic convertor. it generates a voltage to correspond to the actual air to fuel ratio , when the pumping current circuit is low this is a degraded A / F sensor. At 76,000 miles you can be assured that it is  coming to its useful lifes end.
