P1399 Random misfire

P1399 is more of a misfire cause by its  induction system.If you have just one ignition coil that is faulty it is capable of setting a random misfire and other cylinder to  misfires,  By means of the EGR system, if the EGR is just partailly plugged it and there is a igntion coil that is misfiring that misfire will  throw the fuel ratio out. This is one reason for P1399.

 The EGR if  its port are just partially plugged it can cause a engine hestiation or surge. A faulty EGR can also set a hestation or a surge that can seem like a torque convertor lock up problem.and this happens at around 30 mph to 60 mph.
