P0706 engine code on 2007 Honda Odyssey

Question

Open in transmission range switch circuit. Not understanding what this means. Is my trans slipping? Do I need to replace? Anyone have this before?

P0706 Open in the transmission range sensor switch

What the ECM does is took for open circuit ,which are disconnected sensor either internal or externally. just think of it as a light bulb where the filament comes apart. good on the outide but open on the inside, Grounded circuit,  and rationality. when the PRNDL or range sensor goes open you will see a flashing "D" light, check the connection if it not connected  you set a open circuit , if it is connected replace the transmission range sensor.
