2004 Dodge Ram 2500 5.7 Hemi Magnum with engine code P0499. I have replaced evap solenoid and the engine light still on the code P0499 said I needed to replace this part so I did and light still on. But truck still runs great hasn't missed a lick could it be the gas cap or a faulty light indicator

It could be the gas cap causing the code or an electrical issue to the vent control solenoid from the computer. Sometimes a bad pressure sensor will also cause this.
