P0335 Toyota - RUNX 2004

Question

the engine makes an occasional noise when starting and sometimes the check light comes on. when coded it produces the P0335 code.
the noise sounds like the chain is dry.

Hi there,

This code with the symptoms you have indicates that the crank sensor is likely the problem. If it loses signal then the engine will have a hard time starting because it won't be electrically in time. I would start by replacind the sensor
