I have a 1998 Dodge 1500 2wd. 46RE transmission with a 5.2, 146,000 miles. No problems with transmission prior, fluid changed regularly. Got stuck in mud, tried rocking the truck, then all the sudden, nothing, no forward and no reverse. My code reader says, P0713,P0300,P0720,P0306. I replaced the output speed sensor. The dealer says this truck does not have a transmission fluid temperature sensor(P0713). Help.

P0713 Fluit temperature sensor circuit high input

P0720 Output speed sensor circuit malfunction

This transmssion does have a transmission fluid temperature sensor , which is located in the transmission but seperated in the transmission solenoid assembly. Having no transmission temperature sensor and a output speed sensor code condition will not result in a noticable drivabilty effect.

The transmission has a parking prawl , if you where rocking the vehicle to get out of the mud, and the parking prawl broke either internally or externally you can expect no movement. The code condition can be a result of a mechancal condtion .
