Irregardless if the FTP sensor is within specs or works, If the sensor was short to signal the MAF would register lower, and so would the IAT.Since both these sensor are within specification ,  suspect the ECM.  

Circuit high code occur when there is a open or disconnection of the sensor. The job of the ECM is tolook for open circuit, short circuit, and grounds,  Here is a speed sensor with a P0501 circuit high code condition. what was found was a broken connection
