having p0340 cam sensor code issue after head and cam install

I have a 99 mustang gt 4.6 liter v8 which recently had new ported heads cams, timing chains and tensioners installed by a mechanic. I got the car back throwing a p0340 code. I replaced alternator twice, cam and crank sensors and went over wiring. What else can cause this?

How the engine  running, When there a P0340 when it comes to Ford, this is usually accompained with a lean running condition code.and it can also be cause by  any valve tapets noise or lifter noise? And when this code appear does this happen when the vehicle is at a load, ?Even  slight misfire that does not have to set a misfire code can also cause this,

 Here a Ford Mustang GT with a 4.6. This engine had a cylinder head perfromed  on it, The vehicle ran fine , with no code , it started throwing a P0340 when the owner installed a Magna flow exhaust. Doing a back pressue test did not reveal anything unusual, and all the PID data where normal and on the mark. So scan live data became useless in the search for the P0340. and the TSB for a charging system ripple was not the cause. a labsope shown nothing unusual., So back to the reason for the P0340 which started when the magna flow was installed. What was done here was to loosen the exhaust bolts before the catalytic convertor. and create a slight exhuast leak. and duplicate for a P0340, With the code cleared, now is  the time to set its monitors. by setting the monitor and getting it all on the ready , this would prove that the cause was with the exhuast system., 2 scenerio happened. the vehicle obviously ran rich due to the 02 having a exhaust leak and corrected for a lean condition. The problem was with the magna flow . the exhaust system restored back to its orignal condition and code went away.

So what does this mean for you. loosen the exhaust (not too loose that you loose a nut that happened here) clear the code, drive the vehicle and try to get the monitor set to the ready, if this can be accomplished the probelm is  with the exhuast.(and not too lose that you create a lean condition)
