Where would this fuel tank temperture sensor be located?

Fuel tank temperature sensor, there is none, not for a flex fuel, the scan tool may not be compatible to the vehicle, The way a scan tool works is  it has a set amount of code definitions stored in memory, when it connects to the DLC port the scan tool looks for a communication protacol, once it finds it, it now can communicate with the vehicle ECM. the ECM gives it a code and the scan tool has to interpret the code then displays the code according to the code definition that is stored in its libary. Try another scan tool, if it codes a fuel composition sensor which the flex fuel has this is located right near the fuel tank.
