P0101 Chevrolet -

replaced MAF error code goes away then returns usually when changing altitued. no performance problems just the error code. original or replacement MAF same problem. New air filter, cleaned grid on Mass Airflow Sensor, cleaned connections. Has been going on for a year or so.

P0101 MAF circuit  range / perfromance problem

When changing altitute is when the code occurs, then you have a perfromance problem with the MAP, This is where  the altutue VS the barometric  where weather and temperature will cause the reading to be slightly out of range, The MAP sensor should be in range of the altutude. if not it will set a MAF code.
