I have a 2001 Nissan Altima GXE with engine code P1441 and P1442, how do I fix it?

Hi there,

These codes are the result of a problem with the vent control valve bypass valve. This is a small disc under the car mounted next to the charcoal canister. These codes are usually a resullt of the VC bypass solenoid not working properly or the small vapor tubes rusting out and getting holes in them.
