on a 2003 GMC savanna 3500 with 6.0L. Has major power loss but is still drivable... limp mode perhaps... has had misfire codes but not currently, has had MAF sensor code and was replaced, check engine light has come on and stayed on but not currently thought the drivability issue remains. While driving I'll hear a sucking pulse... like injector spray that last like 1.5 to 2.5 seconds at a time and during hard acceleration due to loss of power or WOT.

The first time it happened I was accelerating to pass and hit WOT at Hwy. speed. Something happened best described as a pop feeling then it was hard to maintain acceleration. I could not maintain speed and limped home.

I have fairly recently purchased the van which has 65000 miles. I have replaced the water pump just a few miles p(20 +-) prior to the onset of the drivability issue

only code currently is P0300- misfire though sounds smooth and idle is steady... revs fine with no load

has had
p0101, p0102,p0303,p0404

other codes are
B0016, B0018, c0201, c0040, u1096, u1016, u1000

Just a thought.... could this be a main computer issue?

P0101 MAF circuit range / perfomance

P0102 MAF circuit low input

P0303 Misfire number 3 cylinder

P0404 EGR circuit range performance

B0016 Dual stage air bag system

B0018 Dual stage air bag system

C0040 Open or short in the wheel speed sensor

The U code listed caused by loss of power during the ignition cycle, Check the battery weak battery can set or poor connection at the terminal. U1000 are usually set when a vehicle is equipt with a ON STAR but it is no longer operational or wanted, The BCM would expect to see this but it can not see it it set U1000. As for the "B" code was any of the airbag replaced? If it was it needs to be configured., C code is the tire size the proper tire, that needs to be check at the door panel.and properly inflated. P codes when there is a similar code condition such as P0101 and P102 this is either a vacuum leak affecting the perfromance and it rarely is the component what happens is the component in this case the MAF trying to work properly but it reached its upper limit and now what ever the problem it is beyond its range.so set a code, If the vehicle idle fine and revs fine  but can not  at load. This may just have a partial plugged exhuast system, Check 2 items the fuel pressure regulator for fuel seepage into the intake which will cause the misfire,  Clear all the code retest the system at load if a lean bank codes appears check for a plugged exhaust or catalytic and check the fuel pressure should be 55-62 psi
