P0218 High temperature operation avtivated

P0740 TCC (torque convertor clutch) out of range

These are related , the TCC was not able to operate due to the overheating condition that took place. Several events may have set this condition . The radiator was not properly beed of air in the system, The cooling fan did not turn on as it should have . the thermostat went intermittent.  When you took the vehicle back they may have corrected the situation , Since you drove it 40 miles without a reoccured event it was probably resolved, just keep a eye out for the coolant level.
